'Tis the time of the year to remember the birth
Of Jesus with feasting, much laughter and mirth,
But please kindly remember the gift that He gave:
He was born on this earth all mankind to save,
As the angels sang: “Peace and goodwill to all men!”
To shepherds on hillsides, as sheep they did tend,
And a new star appeared to guide the Magi.
Still the message rings out to invite you and I:
"Come see the Babe, whom the Father did send,
To whom all should bow, and every knee bend,
For this tiny child is your Redeemer and King,
And hope and redemption to all He will bring."
In darkest Gethsemane, and then on the cross,
He suffered and died so we wouldn't be lost,
But could finally come to our last resting place,
Washed clean of all sin, our God to embrace,
With glory and gladness and heart full of love
For our Brother whom Father had sent from above.
So let us rejoice with hearts full of cheer
As we remember the birth of our Saviour this year.

thanks for all you do Susan
